Importance of Birmingham Exhibitions
Classic Design and Build have a strong connection to Birmingham, after our humble beginnings here 25 years ago. We are now looking to show off and highlight the attraction of this booming city with our Birmingham Exhibitions. What’s On? blogs. These blogs will highlight all the key Birmingham exhibitions occurring at the various venues in the next two months. Classic identifies that exhibitions are vital for the local area, not only by helping local businesses show off what they have to offer but by creating a buzz around the city when these events are taking place.
When talking Birmingham exhibitions, the first place to mention has to be the NEC. The NEC has been at the forefront of exhibitions in Birmingham since its opening by the Queen in 1976. Now the centre hosts around 500 events a year. September 2018 is jammed with exhibitions at the NEC, with Recycling & Waste Management 12th-13th, focusing on recycling, water and waste management across the UK. Later in the month, the NEC hosts the PPMA show (25th – 27th) that is a commercial event for processing and packaging machinery. Highlighting how the NEC is up there with the top exhibition centres in the UK, Birmingham plays host to the number 1 cycling exhibition in the UK, The Cycle Show 2018, starting directly after PPMA (27th – 30th).
October is just as busy for Birmingham exhibitions at the NEC, including the Recruitment Agency Show 3rd – 4th October. Midway through the month sees Kevin McCloud presenting the Grand Designs Live show, which can help with all your self-build, renovation and buildings needs. Towards the end of October, the ever-growing Vape Expo UK returns to Birmingham. With this industry growing at a serious rate this show can only get bigger, boosting the attraction to Birmingham further. The above highlights just a few of the main exhibitions occurring at the NEC across September and October 2018, for the full list of events, click here.
Whilst the NEC is seen as the one stop shop for all Birmingham exhibitions, there are a variety of locations that offer equally good services, ideal for the perfect exhibition event. The National Motorcycle Museum, which is located just off junction 6 on the M42, has a variety of exhibitions taking place in the next couple of months that are suitable for all. Highlights include the Doll and Teddy Fair 23rd – 30th September, the Record fair and the Midland Clock Watch Fair happening on the 14th and 21st October respectively.
It is not the only purpose-built centres that are hosting Birmingham exhibitions in the coming months. Sports grounds are also getting involved. Both Edgbaston Cricket ground and Villa Park are doing their fair share. The Antiques and Collectors Fair is hosted at the cricket ground on the 23rd September and is held again on 18th November. Whilst Villa Park plays host the to Autism Central show on the 9th October.
There is plenty to get excited about in the coming months in this great city. If you are around, come and support some of your local Birmingham exhibitions!
